Installation Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Wheel and Aero Lip

  1. Confirm all components are present.
Ensure the wheel and aero lip surfaces are clean and free of debris. Check that the rubber protector is properly seated between the wheel and aero lip.

  2. Step 2 – Apply Bolt Adhesive
  3. Use a maximum-strength threadlocker (red) on each bolt.
This prevents bolts from loosening over time.

Step 3 – Install Aero Lip Bolts

  • Align the aero lip with the wheel. Use Valve stem for Guidance.
  • Hand-thread all 10 bolts before tightening.
  • Tighten in a diagonal star pattern to ensure even seating.
  • Hand tools only — no drills or impact guns.

Step 4 – Final Tightening

  • Hand-tighten each bolt diagonally until snug at maximum thread engagement.
  • Do not overtighten. Once the bolt is snug, stop tightening.
  • Verify the aero lip sits flush with no gaps.
  • Re-check all bolts after 50–100 miles of driving

Maintenance Tips

  • Clean wheels with pH-neutral cleaners only.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the rubber protector.
  • Periodically inspect bolts and rubber protector for wear.

Additional Disclaimer – Aero Lip Requirement

By purchasing and installing ALT Forged ALTR10 wheels, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • The aero lip must remain installed at all times.
  • Removing the aero lip may expose the bottom surface where it bolts to the wheel, which can result in visible scuffs, paint wear, or missing finish.
  • If a bolt loosens while driving, friction between the aero lip and wheel may cause chipping or damage to either the backside of the aero lip or the wheel surface.
  • Such conditions are considered normal wear and are not covered under warranty.
  • These wheels are primarily designed for show cars and enthusiasts who want a standout appearance. They are not intended for customers who plan to frequently remove the aero lip.

We strongly encourage all customers to consider these details before purchasing this wheel style to ensure it meets their expectations and intended use.
